Pupface Content Policy
Effective date: August 16, 2026
This policy covers photos and information submitted to Pupface. Submitting your own dog is not yet open to users — this policy describes the process that will apply once it is, and the report/block tools already available today.
What's allowed
- A real photo of a dog you own, or have the owner's permission to submit.
- Accurate information: the dog's actual name, breed, and age group.
What's not allowed
- Photos that aren't of a real dog.
- Explicit, violent, or otherwise offensive content.
- A dog that isn't yours, submitted without the owner's permission.
- Spam, scams, or deliberately misleading submissions.
- Images you don't hold the rights to.
Pupface's starter roster (the dogs in the app before any user submissions) is AI-generated content created for this project, not real users' pets. This is disclosed in-app.
Review process
Submitted photos go through an automated image check before anything goes live. Anything that fails or is flagged for uncertain content is held back. Every submission starts in a pending state; only approved (live) dogs appear in matches or on the leaderboard.
Reporting
Every dog and every match card can be reported in the app (long-press the card). We aim to review reports within about 24 hours.
Blocking
You can block a dog from your own view at any time; it stops appearing in your matches and on your leaderboard.
Enforcement
Content that violates this policy is removed. Repeated or serious violations may result in the associated account being suspended or removed.

If you believe content was removed in error, contact us and we'll take another look.
